Stupid joke
Created by a single developer as a joke on the endless stream of simulator games, Loading Screen Simulator is the ultimate pointless game. The 'gameplay' nearly entirely consists of clicking a button which adds money to an account. This account can be used to buy upgrades which speed up the virtual browser, upgrade the virtual OS or simply nothing at all. The loading screen then fills up as the player waits. Occasionally a simple Pong style mini game or a few random questions will appear or a mocking note on your overall performance. The game ends when the bar completes and a short video plays. It is obvious that Loading Screen Simulator is a joke made for fun and played ironically. Those who have played other pointless simulators may enjoy the ten minutes or so that the game provides, but most will just be confused and mildly annoyed.
Ironic gaming
Loading Screen Simulator stretches the definition of what can be called a game. While similar simple titles provide amusement in jokes or fourth-wall breaking, this title is more a tongue-in-cheek statement on the pointlessness of many simulator games.
